Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. They are widely used to make websites work and to provide information to site owners. We also use related browser storage technologies (localStorage and sessionStorage).
2. What we use
We use only essential browser storage to make the site work. We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
| Storage | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| customerId | Stores your unique customer ID after a name search so we can link your search to a purchase. | Until cleared |
| cookieConsent | Remembers your cookie consent preference. | Until cleared |
| searchResults | Temporarily stores your name search results while you browse them. | Session only |
| searchForm | Temporarily stores your search form data so we can display it on the results page. | Session only |
3. Third-party cookies
When you make a payment, you are redirected to Stripe's checkout page. Stripe may set its own cookies as part of the payment process. These are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
4. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Note that clearing localStorage will remove your stored customer ID, meaning you will need the email link to access your dashboard.
Most browsers allow you to manage storage via Settings > Privacy > Clear browsing data.
5. More information
